Brandon Grotesque Font
Brandon Grotesque is a geometric font family designed by Hannes von D in 2009 and 2010. It draws its inspiration by typefaces of the 1920s and 1930s, the typeface has the strict geometric structure preserved but also undergoes optical corrections that strive to increase readability and provide a feeling of visual warmth.
It includes six weights that comes with their italics; thus, it offers a wide typographic variations. The lighter and heavier fonts are especially good for display use. However, the light, regular, and medium fonts look best when used in long body text. The x-height, which is quite low, combined with conservative, classically proportional forms, adds a little hint of sophistication to Brandon Grotesque, and it makes the typeface stand out among other geometric sans serif fonts.
Brandon Grotesque features a wide range of OpenType character set, including Western, Central and Eastern European language support, making it suitable font choice among the designers globally. Its flexible nature and its well thought-out combination of functionality and personality have earned it high global recognition, most notably in the TDC 2 Award 2011.
